This past week I've been hard at work making new vids for my YouTube account. I haven't had much time off lately so once I found myself with a good deal of time on my hands I decided to set into motion some ideas I've had and fulfill a few requests I've gotten. One of the things I enjoy getting is feedback; good and bad... though I must say I rather dislike the negative feedback I get from random strangers. I've never understood why people will go out of their way to try and bash people just because they don't like or agree with certain concepts or lifestyle choices. Alas on occasion I do get a good deal of positive feedback from people and I've ended up making alot of great online friends through connections on YouTube. I have a few people whom I stay in regular contact with on there and who've given me alot of great ideas for future vids they'd like to see me do. This past week I decided to tackle one such request, "Contrast Doll" is an idea that sprung from a series of webcam photos I took a while back. An admirer online asked me to try and make a video featuring the outfit pictured above. Basically the concept was this; wear my black zentai with my white cap sleeved leotard over it, shoot the vid against a white wall (which it seems ALL my vids are done against) and boost the contrast so only my head, arms, hands and legs would be visible. I attempted to pull it off and I was very pleased with the results! I had alot of fun making this vid - especially now since I've started to incorporate actual editing into my latest efforts. Before now I've just set the webcam up and done a series of single (painfully long) takes and picked the best ones to upload. I've now been using iMovie HD to edit which I think is a huge leap forward - I've been experimenting with different transitions and effects and now I can add title cards. Building my editing chops is now my main priority since I'm a one-girl show (at this point) I only have myself to rely on when it comes to expressing myself through my fetishes.
Another request from an online admirer has been to do more masking vids, the "Dance Doll Red" and "Dance Doll Blu" are the latest results from that request. Recently I splurged and ended up buying a bunch of new dance wear from Danskin online. If I were ever to have a true weakness it's for tights and leotards - this obsession of mine can no doubt be traced back to my ex-girlfriend who was a wonderful dancer. She got me into wearing various dance wear and it just sort of stuck with me. I love the comfort I get from being wrapped in nylon and lycra from head to toe and the look and feel just really sets me off for some reason. The second picture is taken from one of the new vids and in it I'm wearing my Greyland female mask, my brand new red leotard, and shimmery pink tights over which I'm also wearing a pair of black fishnets. I adore the tight compression of layered tights and collar locked on and being totally encased in my "doll-mode" - needless to say I had a great deal of fun making these "dance doll" videos. The request came to me asking for more masking and if I could make my uploads a bit longer. Since all I pretty much as able to do (thus far) is prance around in front of my webcam I didn't really think I could maintain a longer vid but I gave it a shot. Again I was very pleased with the results - through editing I'm able to use the best bits and pieces from different takes and by stringing them along I can sorta maintain the attention of my audience a bit more effectively. This has been proven by the insight function on YouTube. I've been able to track the general attention span of my viewers on there with the insight function and I've found that with my most recent efforts that people seem to focus all the way through my latest uploads. I've also gotten alot of great feedback on all the new videos which has been very welcomed!I have so many ideas I now want to execute in the coming weeks. I really want to start doing more involving bondage and which might be a bit more edgy. The last time I attempted to upload a video that featured myself in bondage YouTube ended up taking it down and giving me a warning. I found this to be rather stupid since the footage I had submitted was totally "PG" compared to alot of the other bondage vids I've seen on there - the majority of them are still up! If push comes to shove I'll just start slowly building my XTube presence by making more "naughty" videos. I really wish I could get my Domme involved in some way - tying me up for the camera or even demonstrating some corporal punishment on me. She wouldn't have to be fully on screen for any of it - I just think having her participate would be so fun / hot. I haven't really gotten to the point of involving others in my videos and that's something I want to change; it's not so much for a lack of trying to seek it out - I just haven't found the right people I can trust and feel comfortable in dealing with. My friend Kinzo on YouTube and I are teaming up soon - he does really great work making video mash-ups and he's a great editor and just a great overall artist. He asked for the original files of like twelve of my past uploads and is going to make a mash-up using different bits from each of them He's going to set it to music as well which will be a first for me; I've yet to really explore the realm of audio to my visuals, at least in regards to my YouTube vids. I shoot everything I've done with a simple webcam and I don't currently had a microphone with which to capture audio. I guess that's going to be the next step in the process once I can get an actual camera for cheap.
